Silver Lake Improvement Corporation (SLIC)

The Silver Lake Improvement Corporation's mission is to enhance the experience and enjoyment of living on our beautiful lake by maintaining or improving Silver Lake water quality, property values, and boating safety through education, advocacy and member cooperation.  

Silver Lake Improvement Corporation was formally incorporated on January 19, 1955, following a meeting of residents on August 27, 1954 at the historic Green Oak Township Hall.  The August meeting elected eight board members to organize a summer resort corporation for Silver Lake to help solve problems that arise around the lake.

Some of the first problems SLIC worked on were the size and speed of boats and motors used on the lake.  In the years since, SLIC actively works to preserve and protect the quality of our lake for the properties and residents surrounding it.
